Very thin Katchushi style tsuba with a stylised Kachimushi (勝虫 dragonfly) sukashi design and rain pattern file marks. I bought this tsuba in hope it may be a very old one but after studying it I think it's a copy. Sukashi walls of the dragonfly wings look a lot newer than hitsu ana and nakago ana. I'm selling it for a lot less than I paid for it. If my assessment is wrong, you may get yourself an older Katchushi tsuba at a throwaway price. DimensionsHeight: 76mm |

old but modified, or not old?
Hi Stan, My knowledge of tsuba is very limited. When you say it may be a copy, do you mean that the whole thing may be "too new", or do you mean just that the dragonfly sukashi was added more recently, to an old tsuba?
